Cupcakes....

"It was a rainy day, too wet to go outside. Mommy said 'Let's make cupcakes'. What color do you want? 'Pink', I said. 'Pink, pink, pink'."

(And so begins our favorite book. If you haven't read Pinkalicious, you need to! We've read it so many times that they both have it totally memorized and "read" it to themselves all the time!)

It wasn't exactly rainy today... though it is still wet from all the rain yesterday. And cloudy, and cold! So we spent the morning in our PJs making cupcakes... pink, of course! With princess sprinkles that Lily found at the grocery store yesterday. (An outing just for me and her... and I tell you she's like a hawk when it comes to finding princess stuff! She zoned in on those sprinkles from half way down the aisle.)

Nothing like a cupcake lunch on a day when it's cold and wet!
