A trip of his own.

Felix left on Wednesday afternoon to ride the train with mom back to Hattiesburg. This is our first trip on our own (without mom and dad) and the anticipation has been mounting for a while. Let's just say, there were a lot of bumps in the road. We went back and forth for a while about if we wanted to go, etc. Then the train was almost 2 hours late leaving B'ham and had to stop multiple times to wait for passing freight trains, etc. So while they were supposed to arrive in MS at 4pm, it was closer to 7pm when they reached the house. Despite everything, he did great with departure and the train ride. I've talked to him several times in the past two days and he seems to be having a great time (though tired; he has adopted the habit of staying up very late just like his mom did when she would visit grandparents in the summer).

The photos below are from the last day of swimming lessons. He was the only one from his skill level there that day, so the instructor asked him what he wanted to do for the morning. The result: 45 minutes jumping off the diving board. :)
