I tell you, when Lily hits her worst, she is at her worst. No doubt about it. Nothing we could do would slow this little girl down yesterday. She was up running around and playing. Had no interest in TV, princess movies or elmo. Nothing that involved sitting still was on her agenda! And don't even try to pawn off soft foods on her, she was way to smart for that. We bribed her into oatmeal at breakfast, but after that she was not at all interested. And her request for dinner last night (or at least the only thing she ate) was ceasar salad. Apparenly someone forgot to notify her that she had had her throat cut apart on Wednesday.....
Well... now she's paying for it. We were up at 4:30 this morning screaming. Lots of "Mommy, it hurts". Poor baby! We got some more medicine down and she eventually fell asleep in my lap for about an hour. Today, she is a different child. We had to go to Target this morning to pick up some more soft foods that might appeal to her in some form (though everything we asked her about she said she didn't want, and just trying to get liquids down today has been a challenge) and about half way thru the store she started asking "Mommy, can I go home now". Luckily, being up this morning very early and some pain meds in her system, she finally consented to taking a nap and has been sleeping for about 3 hours now, though I hear her waking up. Keep your fingers crossed that we are feeling better sooner rather than later. She so doesn't understand what is going on and why she feels so bad!
