A swimmer, a sitter and a monkey!

That's what I have in this house :)! Felix is swimming on his own now. It's for short distances, but he can do it. And as the lifeguard put it, he is at the point that were he to fall into water, he could get himself to shore/the side of the pool. This is a great start, since we are only 2 days into lessons! He's so excited about jumping off the big diving board at the end of next week and his instructor told him that if he wanted to jump off, he had to learn to swim (she's really a great motivator). After the nightmare that was swimming lessons last year, I'm loving this! The only down side is trying to keep Lily out of the pool during lessons. She's a little fish!

Clara is sitting all by herself now. She's been wobbly for a while, but today she actually would sit and play for 10-15 min. at a time. Every so often she would get really excited about something and wobble about and fell over once, but all in all she is really doing very well with it. Of course this means that crawling can't be too far behind.

And Lily the monkey. This girl is something else. Climbing, bouncing off furniture. Today I caught her trying to scale the back of the couch. And she's figured out that if she takes the step stool that we keep in the kitchen and moves it around the room she can reach ANYTHING she wants. Snacks, cups in the cabinet, and all those things that she is not supposed to get into. She is especially drawn to those.
