Baseball tour...

We got to attend a tour of the local minor league baseball stadium today. The Birmingham Barons is the farm team for the Chicago White Sox. It was really cool to see all the behind the scenes stuff that goes on! The team was out of town playing in Mobile, so we were even able to visit the locker room and walk down the path they take to the dugout-- totally awesome!

The view from one of the entertaining suites-- that place was REALLY nice... There is a 3 year waiting period to get one! And I don't even want to think about what it costs....

They were nice enough to give each kid a turn at the announcer's microphone... very cool stuff!

Lily is very shy in new situations-- she sat there quietly, not sure what to say, and even with my proding it was just to much for her... Mommy ended up giving out a hearty "GO BARONS"

This was our host, who was great with kids and super funny about all their questions

See that locker? That locker belonged to Michael Jordan when he did his brief tour with the Barons before going on to the White Sox. I think the kids made our tour guide feel old, because when he asked how many of them knew who Michael Jordan was they all just stared at him.
