The last day (part 2)

I can not say enough wonderful things about this lady!

I honestly do not believe that I have ever met someone as committed to teaching children as she is. (And I've have known some pretty amazing educators...) The enthusiasm she shows in the classroom is amazing. (I only wish I had a small amount of her energy!) The love she feels for her students is unconditional, and it shows. She has been there every step of the way this year, always going above and beyond to call me at home when we struggled or I couldn't get to the school without the girls in tow for a conference. She was even there at our first playoff game, even though she had a conflict with the time. She is an outstanding teacher, mother and a beautiful person. I feel so blessed that she was part of our lives this year.

As though it is a testimate to how wonderful she is... on the class picnic day one of the kids scrawled this across the sidewalk. It reflects the sentiment of each of her students perfectly.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for a WONDERFUL first grade year!

In just 3 short hours summer vacation officially begins. It's going to be crazy and full of fun and I can't wait!!
