2. Felix got a 100 on his spelling pretest on Monday this week. GO FELIX! But that means that he gets an "advanced" spelling list. Advanced is one way to describe it. Try teaching a six year old to spell SMOCKING... or why some words have a silent K at the beginning (Silent or magic E he's heard of before, but a silent K. Yeah, he looked at me like I had two heads)
3. There is just no fun like the fun that homemade playdough can bring! Hours of entertainment. We try to get really creative around halloween and make pumpkin spice playdough. Makes the house smell so good!!
4. Big girl bed!!! We are officially done with cribs in this house. Two nights in a big girl bed and Clara is a champ! I was so worried she would give up napping when we made the move, but she hasn't (thank goodness). No fussing at night, just right to bed. She loves being a big kid like her sister. What pushed the move? I'm sorta "over" having a crib in the house. It's big and bulky and their room is not very big. But also, climbing... we were climbing, or trying to climb, and well, I would rather have her in a bed than have a trip to the ER.
5. Oh yeah. I don't think I've showed off pictures of the girls room since it was painted. It is about as pink as it can get. Lily is in heaven, I think she would paint every surface in the room pink if she could. Luckily, Clara doesn't have much of an opnion just yet, so she loves it no matter what. Felix's room is as blue as the girl's is pink... I'll have to snap some photos of it soon to share (especially once we get our superhero artwork up on the walls)!
6. Mommy is stretched a little too thin right now. Trying to get a lot of things done... volunteered as room mom for Lily's class this year, and party season is quickly approaching, so I'm trying to get things in order for that. AND I'm on the party committee for the MOMS Club too. Add to that carpool and normal house stuff and playgroups and gymnastics... WHEW! No wonder I keep collapsing on the couch at night. Everyone tells me it will get worse before it gets better.... I'm beginning to believe them :).
