Last Tuesday night Paul's granmother passed away. We have spent the last few days talking with family and celebrating her long and wonderful life. She was, without a doubt, one of those people that impacted everyone she came in touch with, and her outlook was always a positive one, even as she faced her final days in a battle with lukemia. She was 90 years young.
We spent yesterday in Atlanta with many members of the family. When you gather together 8 children, spouses, grandchildren (esp. when there are 18 of them!) and great grandchildren it makes for quite a gathering! The kids really enjoyed spending some time with their great-grandpa. Clara even got in some quality floor time with great-grandpa as they practiced crawling together and he helped her walk around the living room. At 89 he can make many of us feel older than we are (I don't get up off the floor that easily after crawling around for sure!).
I have photos to scan and share from the last few weeks that I hope to get to soon. Also, Clara is now pulling up. She's not always graceful about it, but she can do it.
